This is something I am recently finding very annoying, its not Cash Dispensers that annoy me but the amount of time some people take to make a transaction. It always seems to be worse when its wet and the wind is howling and there is a long line of people waiting. Its at this moment that you have to make a decision, do I wait, or pop in the shop and get cashback?
Usually I will join the line of eager waiting cash hungry people. This is just where my fustration starts. The time it takes some people to put there card in...... then their pin number carefully making sure nobody can see, and then its mayhem !!! They must have done this hundreds of times but still seem perplexed at the on screen options. Its not rocket science, If you want cash, select the cash button, if you want a balance then again hit that button. Confusion could start here as to having to make a decision as to how much to withdraw. After a rather long pause the option to withdraw or not is taken and they await either cash or receipt showing balance.
They will carefully put the cash in thier purse or wallet and OH NO I DONT BELIEVE IT ....... Yes another card !!!! Obviously some trusting member of the family or friend has asked them hightening security alert with giving out there pin number. Believe it or not this can happen a third time and by now I am beginning to think that maybe they have taken on the role of a mobile banking service for the neighbourhood. Its at this point the shop and cash back option would have been a better idea.
Worst case senario is that when you get to the front eventually that there is no cash left for you, well I have to say this has never happened yet to me, I think I would seriously do damage if it ever did.
